Remodeling my tv room- this is the beginning so keep watching.

I took an old door cut it in half
to make these shutters. my next step
is to paint the walls.
The same old doors- 2 doors made 4 shutters. The table
behind the sofa was repainted and stressed.
This curio cabinet of my mothers was white. So I
sanded it lightly before painting, used a red  interior paint
from the  Home Depot.
On the back of the cabinet and the shelves I Mod Podged
scrape booking paper. Great look and easy to do.

Fourth of July

A little early- just had an idea and had to get it made!!

Clay Pot Candy Jar

So easy to make!! All you need is a clay pot, clay saucer, glass candle votive ( from the dollar store), wood knob and some high gloss paint.
You paint just the outside of the pot and only the top of the lid. Paint your wood knob also. Glue the votive to the the pot with some clear caulk and also your knob. Just like that you have a very cute candy jar!! It won't even take you an hour!! Enjoy!!
